28 M.S. 406 fighters, six Potez P.630s and two
MB.220 of the Armée de l’Air took off for the first

One of the participating pilots was Czech Vlastimil

interesting photos.

D.510 Cs delivered to China during 1937 and 1938. It
includes comments on the existing D.510 kits, two

the article describing the combat career of Jürgen

Sheppard, this time he describes the recovery of a
P-47D-30, “29150”, K4-S, “Dottie Mae”. The aircraft
was lost in an Austrian lake on May 8, 1945. Mark’s
report provides unique information on the recovery
itself, history of the mount, its combat career and
much more. Two colour profiles are included.
Jack Ensch – Barrett Tillman’s article from The Hook
magazine about CAPT Jack Ensch, a former F-4 RIO. In
May 1972 his crew shot down two VPAF MiGs over Kep,

spent seven months in the Hoa Lo prison. The story
include five F-4 colour profiles.
Centauros in the Italian War Skies – the final part
describes the end of the combat career of Fiat G.55s
with the ANR and their paint schemes. The article
includes two colour profiles.
The Mosquito Hunt – an extract from the logbook of
former night fighter pilot Herbert Altner. Two night
interceptions with twoseater Me 262 B-1a/U1s are
described.
