The Last “H” of No. 311 Squadron – a total of five B-24s with the “H” fuselage code saw service with RAF No. 311 (Czech) Squadron from June 1943 to June 1945. The short article looks at the combat career of the last of them (Liberator GR Mk.VI, KG870). Its 2-view colour profile is included as well as colour drawings of various structural details.

Abortive Tchaika – an interesting Cold War story. On September 26, 1964, a Czechoslovak MiG-21F-13 was shot down by a Soviet MiG-21 near Postupim, East Germany. The Czechoslovak pilot was carrying out so-called “Tchaika” (Seagull) mission in order to test air defence of a friendly state, but things became too real.
